Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton spent some quality time together on Saturday morning, teaming up to watch Markle's friend and baby shower organizer Serena Williams take on Simona Halep at Wimbledon's Ladies' Singles Final. Although Williams lost her chance at a record-tying 24th Grand Slam title, Markle and Middleton were all smiles during the match—and they were even joined by Kate's younger sister Pippa Middleton, marking the first time the women have been seen out in public together just the three of them.
According to People, Kate arrived wearing a sleek Dolce & Gabbana dress that she was last photographed in when she visited Canada with her husband in 2016. Because Kate is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she had a couple of royal duties to take care of, and she took a few moments to meet with some junior players from several European countries.
Markle and Pippa also made their way to Wimbledon's Centre Court, and all three of them sat next to each other in the royal box. Markle showed up in a white button-down shirt that she paired with a summery Hugo Boss skirt that featured pleats and a cool black and blue pattern. She slicked her hair back into a neat, sporty ponytail. Pippa went a bit more romantic with her look, opting for a cute floral dress with ruffled sleeves by Anna Mason London and an elegant French braid. They were seen laughing and cheering on both players, and later clapping for Halep after she cinched her victory.
This is the second time the duchesses have met up to watch the Wimbledon women's final. Last year, their joint trip to the tennis championship ended up being the first time they were seen out together without their husbands. It seems this might be the start of an annual tradition for the two royals.
