Make some room on your phone and prepare to retire the crown and princess emojis you've been overusing lately—in just a few short weeks, you'll have a whole new way to express your excitement about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding via text message. Enter the Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton emojis, perfect for all your royal group chat needs.
TMZ reports that media company DRKHORS has filed trademark requests on the names KateMojis and MeghanMojis. Each collection of duchess-themed emojis will reportedly retail for $1.99 and will likely work much like Kim Kardashian West's Kimoji app, which adds a keyboard of KKW-themed stickers to your phone that can be copied and pasted into your text messages.
According to TMZ, while the KateMoji collection will depict the glamorous royal's life as a hands-on mom of (almost) three, the MeghanMojis will focus on the Suits star's love story with Harry. Several sketches of potential emojis are already posted on the DRKHORS website: There are drawings of Kate sipping from a wine glass, shooting some side-eye while wearing an elegant black gown and dripping in jewels, and covering her mouth while taking in a sporting event; one of Meghan in a blue shorts suit; plus a few text stickers featuring sayings like "American princess" and "cheeky-bugger." The site notes that the emojis should be available in May 2018—presumably in time for Meghan and Harry's royal wedding on May 19—and that fans of the young royals can submit their own ideas for the Kate- and Meghan-themed emojis.
The only question that remains is whether Kate and Meghan themselves will use the digital stickers they've inspired. Prince Harry might be on board: Back in December, a source told E! News that while Harry and Meghan are both "big texters," the prince is especially fond of including GIFs and emojis in those texts. Chances are good that come this May, the royals will be exchanging KateMojis and MeghanMojis in their family group chat just like the rest of us.
