Royal! Philanthropist! Calligrapher! Meghan Markle, jill of many trades, had quite an eventful visit to the Royal Variety Charity’s nursing and care home at Brinsworth House in Twickenham, England, Tuesday morning.

Clad in a short sleeve Brock Collection floral frock and matching light gray heels—her pregnancy style keeps getting better—the expecting mother spent time getting to know the residents, even partaking in an arts and crafts project (prepping for parenting, perhaps?). Letting her former freelance calligraphy days show, Meghan left her mark on a handmade frame, adorned with paper ornaments and showcasing a photo of the facility. "Merry Christmas, Love, Meghan," she wrote in her impressive penmanship on the holiday decoration. Simon Perry, chief foreign correspondent of People UK, shared a snippet of the creation to Twitter.

An Instagram photo, posted by Kensington Palace, also shows the Duchess mingling with residents. "The Royal Variety Charity, of which The Queen is Patron, assists those who have worked professionally in the entertainment industry and are in need of help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times," the post explained of the locale.

The cutest moment from the day, though, came when Meghan joked about her expanding baby bump, which royal correspondent Rebecca English captured on video. While sitting with another resident, actress Josephine Gordon, Meghan remained incredibly transparent when asked how she felt.

"Very good," she responded, while cradling her belly, adding "I'm looking very pregnant today!" with a laugh. Good to know that the 37-year-old, due this upcoming spring, is remaining in good spirits.

The convo continued, with the Duchess of Sussex asking her new friend whether she had children of her own. "No, I didn't. I had a career," Gordon said, to which Meghan—a former Hollywood star and rumored workaholic—replied, "That, I understand."

Prior to the birth of their child, Prince Harry and Meghan are set to move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage early next year (after tackling a few construction projects).
