We still have two months to go until the royal wedding, but already people are talking about possible royal babies for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry—including, reportedly, the royal couple themselves!
On Wednesday, royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that her sources say Prince Harry “is very keen to start a family” soon after the May 19 nuptials. “He’s made no secret about wanting children,” she said. Although Nicholl’s sources didn’t say much about the future duchess, it looks like she’s thinking about babies just as much as Prince Harry is.
On Friday, the royal couple made their first official joint visit to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where they made a positive influence on the youths and mingled with local comedians before doing tourist-y things at the Titanic attraction. At one point during the trip, PEOPLE reported, they happened upon a set of “hypoallergenic baby products” by Shnuggle, a company founded by husband and wife team, Adam and Sinead Murphy.
As soon as she spotted the products, Markle said, “I’m sure at some point we’ll need the whole thing. It’s very sweet.”
The products in question consisted of a baby bath, a changing mat, and a Moses basket. “They seemed very engaged with the products,” Murphy said, according to PEOPLE. “Harry was particularly interested in the bath. I wonder if he has witnessed bath time with his nephew or niece.” According to Murphy, it looks like Prince Harry’s been doing his homework on safe bath practices for infants. “As soon as he saw the bum bump [a function of the baby bath that prevents a baby from slipping] he understood immediately,” she continued.
“He said, ‘Oh, non-slip.’”
Of course, while it’s exciting to think about the possibility of little cousins for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, this is all just speculation. As Murphy told reporters, “No pressure on the lovely couple!”
