How do you live your best life? Is it with a glass of wine and a Gilmore Girls Netflix marathon? Or are you living your best life when you're two tacos deep at your favorite Mexican restaurant? Maybe it's when you're cuddling with your S.O. and your fluffy pup at home on a cold winter night? Whatever floats your boat, it's impossible to deny that this McDonald's lovin' couple is living their best life.
Most Valentine's Day proposals include a bouquet of roses, but Illinois resident Kristian Helton thought outside of the stereotypical cupid box when he proposed to his girlfriend Karsyn Long on February 14th. Or rather, he thought inside the box when he handed Long a box of juicy, deep-fried Chicken McNuggets on the romantic holiday, wedging a sparkling solitaire engagement ring right into one nugget's white-meat center. Nodding to McDonald's obsessive use of the word "Mc," the clever guy scribbled onto the inside of the box "Will you McMarry me??"
Obviously, Long was super psyched. "I didn't hesitate to say yes," she told NBC affiliate WAND.
Some may scoff at his proposal idea, but the meaning behind it is pretty darn sweet. He's admitted that his girlfriend's love of chicken nugs started long before he met her, noting that he has accepted and made peace with the fact that the fast food item will always be her "first love."
"Her love for chicken nuggets is, I'm sure, more than she loves me," Helton told the news station. Can you blame the girl? We're getting hungry just thinking about a 10-piece box of the delicacy. If he thinks he pulled off the most epic proposal of all time, we're leaning towards yes. "She was pretty excited. I think more about the chicken nuggets."
Awww, you guys! We're lovin' it.
