Whenever a Dancing with the Stars cast member ties the knot, it's bound to be beautiful. Just look at Julianne Hough's nuptials earlier this summer that featured a custom Marchesa wedding dress, a rustic outdoor ceremony on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene, and a fireworks show that lit up the Idaho sky. Gorgeous, right? Or the wedding of DWTS pros Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy that was a princess bride's dream with its endless supply of white roses and Peta's frothy fairytale ball gown.
And we can't forget about Mark Ballas and BC Jean's glam boho wedding last year. But even these lavish DWTS affairs have their hiccups—and Mark Ballas and BC Jean have a particularly hilarious one!
In November of last year, DWTS pro Mark Ballas said "I do" to his songwriter sweetheart, BC Jean, at California's Calamigos Ranch with tons of Dancing With the Stars alum in attendance. Julianne Hough, Brittany Cherry, Sharna Burgess, Keo Motsepe, Cheryl Burke, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater, and Jenna Johnson all scored guest list status, while Derek Hough served as best man. The bride stunned in bejeweled gown with a matching headpiece and the venue's gorgeous vintage carousel made for the prettiest of photos.
You'd never guess that during the ceremony, a serious snafu had taken place!
"I teared up when she walked around the corner and I saw her," Ballas recently told People magazine of the moment his bride was about to walk down the aisle. "She walked the aisle to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen, which is one of my all-time favorites."
Sounds perfect, right? Well...
"It was funny, because they played the wrong version," Ballas explained. "They were meant to play the symphonic string version, but they played the real version." Uh-oh... So all of a sudden she turns the corner and we hear: 'Is this [the real life]?'"
"Freddie [Mercury]'s voice is booming through my ceremony!" laughed the dancing champ. "I turned to Derek at the time, my best friend, I was like, 'They're playing the wrong version!' He goes, 'Relax, man. You love Queen.' I was like, 'I do love Queen.'"
Proof you gotta always keep your cool in the face of wedding day disasters! (Even if the voice of Freddie Mercury accidentally kicks off your ceremony...)
