In case you missed it, Brazilian actress Marina Ruy Barbosa got married over the weekend to Alexandre Sarnes Negrão, a race car driver and entrepreneur. And if the 19,000 Instagram photos under the hashtag #mxwedding are any evidence, the actress looked very much the part of a beautiful bride (she is on the cover of Vogue Brasil in a wedding dress, after all!). For her own big day, Marina turned to the designers at Dolce & Gabbana to create a custom princess-worthy gown that featured a strapless ruched bodice and statement tulle skirt. The bride even took to Instagram to thank the talented designers—and we can understand why! She wrote, "Stefano and Domenico, you both overcame my expectations. There is no adjective in the whole world that can describe the beauty of my dress." (We can think of a few: stunning, swoon-worthy, perfect...)
But Marina's dress was far from the day's only statement-making moment (or fashion choice!). The bride's cathedral-length veil was the stuff of lace dreams, and her 14 bridesmaids looked beautiful in various pink gowns. And that's not to mention the flowers! And the party! And the table settings! Seriously, everything about this wedding has us all heart-eyed. Keep reading to see the most Instagram-worthy moments from Marina Ruy Barbosa's special day!
The bride's dream dress fit her to perfection (it was custom, after all!) with a tight bodice and ballgown skirt. We especially love how Marina paired the statement gown with a simple half-up hairdo and classic lace veil. She also carried a tight bouquet of pink and white flowers to match the day's color scheme and the flower wall behind her. And let's not forget about the groom, who looked ever-so-handsome in a three-piece morning suit.
Upon a closer look, Marina's look is even more perfect. We especially love this shot, which reveals crystal-adorned buttons on the back of her dress. And how pretty is the bundle of pale pink roses above her veil?
As we mentioned before, the veil made a statement of its own. We don't have the exact measurements (quite yet!) but that's definitely several feet of intricate lace in the above picture.
The (14!) Bridesmaids
Marina's squad looked elegant in long, pink dresses as they stood alongside the bride for a mega-bridesmaids portrait. Kudos to the bride for letting her girls pick their own dresses (in various styles, materials, and shades), as 14 of the exact same dress may have been overkill.
The Flower Wall
Guests posed for snaps and Insta-stories in front of another flower wall; this one featured pink roses, orchids, and vines.
The flower girls looked adorable in pink-and-green floral dresses by Dolce & Gabbana, while the ring bearers matched the groom in mini morning suits. The bride captioned her Instagram with "Much cuteness involved" and we'd have to agree—too cute!
The Table Settings
Dark, wooden reception tables were left bare and decorated with both pink and printed plates atop clear chargers. Bundles of single-hued blooms completed each table's colorful design.
The Fashionable Guests
The bride and groom have stylish friends, indeed! The bloggers, soccer stars, and generally fabulous people on Marina and Alexandre's guest list nailed the black-tie dress code. Case in point: Camila Coelho's look, shown here. The fashionista wore a pale blue gown by Ralph & Russo paired with H. Stern jewels.
Seriously, look at this photo; is this a wedding, nightclub, or a concert? It's safe to assume that this blue-lit dance floor was packed all night as DJ Alok Petrillo performed. Best wishes to the happy couple—we have you to thank for some serious wedding inspiration!
