Marc Jacobs is giving back to the LGBTQ+ community in a big way this year. Almost one year after Jacobs popped the question to his boyfriend, the designer is giving other same-sex couples the opportunity to make their wedding day as beautiful as possible. Marc Jacobs Beauty is offering LGBTQ+ couples the chance to win a wedding day makeover, as well as the chance to be highlighted during New York City's 2019 Pride.
The Wedding Belles and Beaus contest will highlight three lucky U.S. LGBTQ+ couples that are getting married this year. Couples can apply by filling out the application, which asks the questions, "What does marriage mean to you?" and "What has your journey to marriage been like?" Three couples will win complimentary makeup services by Marc Jacobs Beauty artists for their wedding day. Additionally, a video crew will capture their nuptials for a documentary set to air during NYC Pride this June.
Last year, Jacobs proposed to his fiancé, Charly DeFrancesco, in a New York City Chipotle. The designer organized a team of dancers to perform a choreographed dance to Prince's "Kiss" inside the restaurant while he got down on one knee and asked for his partner's hand in marriage. The two have yet to say their I do's, but we have a feeling they'll incorporate lots of dancing and Mexican food into their big day.
