It may be hard to picture Mandy Moore married to anyone other than Milo Ventimiglia—or, let's face it, Shane West—but real-life congratulations are in order: The This Is Us star is reportedly engaged.
According to a Facebook post from E! News's Marc Malkin, Moore's boyfriend fiancé, Taylor Goldsmith (who's the guitarist for indie rock band Dawes), popped the question at their shared home on Monday night. He was "petrified" before the proposal, a source told Malkin, but "Mandy said yes and is so happy." The same post reports the ring is "understated" and "very Mandy."
The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in July, which Moore commemorated with an adorable Instagram tribute. "The best 2 years. Never not smiling with you, T," she wrote along with a series of multicolored hearts.
Months before the engagement was made official, Moore was outspoken about the fact that she was ready to head down the aisle for the second time. The actress was married to singer Ryan Adams for almost six years (from 2009 to 2015), but they had a surprise, untraditional wedding, and after acting in her character's wedding on This Is Us, she started thinking about the possibility of having another IRL wedding of her own.
"I was like, 'I know I actually already did this once before, but I eloped and I didn't have a wedding dress, so maybe if I do round two one day,'" she told People in February. "Wearing a wedding dress for that episode kind of shifted my mind-set on wearing a proper wedding dress. I was like, 'I kinda feel like I have to do this in real life now.'"
In July, she told the magazine that she's "definitely ready for motherhood sooner rather than later! I think that’s going to be the next chapter.” Maybe another round of congratulations will be in order sometime in the near future?
