Just weeks after scoring her engagement bling, Mandy Moore is working her way towards that wedding ring. Earlier this month, the news hit that Moore is engaged to her love Taylor Goldsmith. Now, the actress is spilling the deets on her upcoming wedding. Can we expect her to rock a '70s-inspired boho wedding dress and tie the knot in City Hall like her This Is Us counterpart? Here's what Moore is envisioning for her big day.
When Moore was spotted out and about with a suspicious diamond sparkler on her left ring finger a couple of weeks ago, the engagement speculation started flying. As it turns out, the rumors were true. Moore's This Is Us costar Chris Sullivan confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Moore was to wed her boyfriend—ahem, fiancé—musician Taylor Goldsmith. "She just sent out an alert over our family text chain, so I can't wait to hear about it," said Sullivan.
Later, on the Emmy Awards red carpet, Moore shared her excitement over her new bridal bling, telling ET, "I'm a bashful girl and I didn't think I really wanted one, but then…I'm very happy with this. Because you can see my skin underneath. I like that."
As it turns out, Moore's oh-so-causal feelings concerning engagement rings extends to weddings, as well. This is one bride-to-be who isn't picturing a big ol' bash for her big day.
"This is my second go-round," Moore recently explained to Us Weekly, referring to her first marriage to singer Ryan Adams, from whom she finalized her divorce last year. "I feel like I eloped before and I think I'll probably keep it very small again. I've never been the girl that wanted to wear a white dress. No judgement, but it's not for me. I think it'll be just as small with family and friends. Quit, no bridal magazines for me."
Hey! What about Brides, Mandy?! We have plenty of ideas for a low-key wedding day!
Despite her nonchalant attitude about her own nuptials, Moore expressed excitement over the upcoming wedding of her This Is Us costar Justin Hartley, who is set to wed his fiancée Chrishell Stause within the next few months.
"I haven't gotten him a gift yet, so that's a really good reminder! I'll have to go on their registry after this," said Moore. "I think I'll pay attention to their wedding [to see] if I can pick up anything I want to incorporate."
We're sure they won't mind if she steals an idea or two!
