The This Is Us star announced her engagement to guitarist Taylor Goldsmith in September and, forget wedding planning, she's already thinking about the honeymoon! Moore, in an interview for the January issue of Shape magazine, said she told her husband-to-be she is ready for an adventure.
“I do want to climb Mount Kilimanjaro," she told the mag. "That’s a bucket-list item—maybe on the next hiatus. I’ve already told Taylor that I may incorporate it into the honeymoon.”
This dormant volcano in Tanzania is the highest mountain in Africa at 19,340 feet, which takes a minimum of five days to climb. So basically, this is a honeymoon for only the bravest of brides!
Despite Moore's sky-high honeymoon plans, she's currently in the midst of planning a low-key wedding with her fiancé. The actress has previously stated they are interested in having more of an "elevated house party" than a big fancy wedding, and plan to keep things intimate. "This is my second go-round," she explained to Us Weekly at the time of her engagement. "I feel like I eloped before and I think I'll probably keep it very small again. I've never been the girl that wanted to wear a white dress. No judgement, but it's not for me. I think it'll be just as small with family and friends."
Moore plans to ditch the traditional venue and celebrate at either her or her to-be husband's home with a friend officiating. "And other than that, maybe have music!" added Moore. "Find a way to incorporate Taylor [Goldsmith], or some of our musician friends, or something. So make it feel very much like us," she told Entertainment Tonight.
While these intimate and romantic wedding photos will surely be great, we will be anxiously awaiting those snapshots of the newlyweds from the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
