Following the very exciting news of Mandy Moore's engagement to Taylor Goldsmith, the actress celebrated in the best way possible. Over the weekend, Moore and her best gal pals, including Minka Kelly, businesswoman Raina Penchansky, Olive & June founder Sarah Gibson Tuttle, hairstylist Ashley Streicher, and This Is Us co-star Susan Kelechi Watson, gathered for a very low-key engagement party.
The girls celebrated over a late afternoon lunch at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, complete with fruit and veggie bowls, mini sandwiches, and tea. Of course, the location was adorned with "Mandy and Taylor" signs, as well as crowns for the guests and a super fun light-up crown for the bride-to-be. There were games, too. To kick off the celebration, the girls played "Bridal Emoji Pictionary," right before playing actual Pictionary, during which all the girls attempted to draw a bride and wedding-themed photo.
Later, Kelly caught a heartwarming moment between Moore and her mother, Stacy Moore, and shared it on her Instagram story (the post has since been deleted).
"I'm so proud," a teary-eyed Stacy gushed to her daughter. "I got a lot of congratulations from friends and such, and I said, 'You know what, two wonderful people make two wonderful people.' And that's the best I can say. I'm just so happy."
Goldsmith popped the question a little over two weeks ago with an "understated ring" that's "very Mandy." A source previously said that Goldsmith was "petrified" before the proposal, but that "Mandy said yes and is so happy." Shortly after the announcement, This Is Us co-star Chris Sullivan confirmed the exciting news during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"I was just in the studio with her boyfriend, well, now fiancé, Taylor. He didn't say a word! He seemed a little effervescent, but he's always pretty effervescent...I know him very well," Sullivan revealed to the entertainment source. "He's quickly becoming one of my favorite people, and he and Mandy are an incredible couple."
Let the wedding planning begin!
