If weddings had their own disco-ball trophy, we'd give it to Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd. The two Dancing With the Stars pros just tied the knot this weekend. And from the castle venue to Murgatroyd's Cinderella wedding dress, this is the glamorous fairy-tale wedding of your dreams.
On the night before the big day, the couple celebrated with their family and friends at a pre-wedding party and rehearsal dinner. Then, on Saturday, July 8, Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd said their I do's at Oheka Castle—a storybook-worthy venue in Long Island, New York. "I remember when I was passing by this castle when I first immigrated, and [I said,] 'That's where I want to have my wedding,' and I just said it so [casually,] and now it's happening," the groom previously explained to ABC News.
In an alfresco ceremony that featured white blooms and billowing fabric hanging overhead, Murgatroyd walked down the aisle in a frothy ball gown featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline, a fitted bodice, and a voluminous gathered skirt. She wore her blond locks up in a tight chignon, accessorized with a glittery hairpiece to complete the look. Meanwhile, Chmerkovskiy looked the part of Prince Charming to her Cinderella in a crisp white suit jacket.
A number of DWTS pros and alums also made their way down the aisle as bridesmaids and groomsmen, including Val Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, Rumer Willis, and Sharna Burgess, according to People magazine. Jenna Johnson, Nyle DiMarco, and Candace Cameron Bure also all made the wedding guest list.
After the I do's were said and the couple shared their first kiss, it was time to party. But not before snapping some pics in front of the rainbow that had suddenly appeared in the sky. (Told you this was a fairy-tale wedding!)
At the newlyweds' classic ballroom reception, Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd shared their first dance—a simple, slow waltz for the DWTS pros.
But there was plenty more dancing later in the night. At one point, Chmerkovskiy even took over wedding-singing duties to serenade his bride as his groomsmen pulled off a choreographed performance behind him!
Later during the reception, the couple cut into their elaborate wedding cake and Murgatroyd pulled off a quick costume change and slipped into a fun, feathery number to party the night away as guests had fun both in the photo booth and on the dance floor.
But the party wasn't over yet! The following day, the fun continued with a post-wedding pool party. The wedding revelers headed to Brooklyn's McCarren Hotel, according to Entertainment Tonight, where Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd certainly made a splash with their three-day nuptial celebration.
The groom's younger brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, cuddled up to his girlfriend, DWTS pro Jenna Johnson, in the pool, and guests munched on mini doughnuts, sipped on poolside drinks with customized koozies, and snapped some pics in yet another photo booth.
Three whole days of wedding celebrations? Don't mind if we do!
This wasn't the only Dancing With the Stars wedding this weekend. Julianne Hough also tied the knot on Saturday, July 8, with hockey player Brooks Laich. Read all about her romantic Idaho wedding here!
