Are you dying to look exactly like Madonna, the ultimate material girl, on your wedding day? You just missed your chance. The Queen of Pop's wedding dress that she wore to marry Sean Penn in 1985 sold over the weekend, along with many of her other iconic gowns.
Julien's Auctions announced on Saturday that items from her professional and personal life, including her bridal gown, sold during their two-day Icons & Idols: Rock n' Roll auction that started Friday. How much did the lucky bidder pay for her strapless tulle wedding dress? A cool $81,250, more than the average median income in the U.S.
Madonna and Penn's Malibu nuptials were a massive paparazzi event, and the helicopters circling above during the ceremony famously drowned out much of the proceedings. Though the marriage between the pop singer and the movie star didn't last more than two years, apparently the hoopla surrounding it is still as strong!

Other items sold during the auction include the gown and stole from Madonna's "Material Girl" music video, which sold for $73,125, her jacket from Desperately Seeking Susan, which sold for a record $252,000, a dress from Evita, which sold for $15,000, and her A League of Their Own uniform, which sold for $31,250.
