This Taken actress is, well, officially taken! Maggie Grace, star of the Liam Neeson–led action franchise and Lost alum, has tied the knot with fiancé Brent Bushnell, marrying her love in a Memorial Day weekend wedding after a three-month engagement. And judging by the wedding photo the bride herself just shared, it was gorgeous!
In February of this year, Brent Bushnell—the founder of the engineering entertainment firm Two Bit Circus—proposed to Grace with the actress's rep confirming the nuptial news to the media. Grace, who's usually one to keep her relationship tightly under wraps, took to Instagram to post a cute couple selfie of her and her beau romantically floating in a canoe. "The strongest and sweetest songs yet remain to be sung (Whitman)," she captioned a sweet snapshot of herself cuddled up with Bushnell on the river ride. Unfortunately, the ever-private Grace did not, ahem, grace us with an engagement ring selfie. In fact, to this day, we've yet to seen Grace's special sparkler. And now, the officially-wedded lady presumably has two!
As reported by PEOPLE magazine, Grace and Bushnell tied the knot on Sunday, May 28, 2017. The wedding took place in La Jolla, California, and jewelry designer Neil Lane dished some of the big day deets.
According to the expert jeweler, the bride kept her wedding day look "classic and elegant," and completed her ensemble with some baubles from Neil Lane himself.
"Her choice of wedding earring was inspired by her Edwardian lace veil," the jeweler shared with PEOPLE. "They are vintage with delicate swirls of circular diamonds set in platinum. Her pearl-and-diamond hair combs are also of the Edwardian era."
Right after her love proposed, Grace was spotted at West Hollywood's Claire Pettibone boutique, Us Weekly reported at the time, leading us to believe that this new wifey might've donned a wedding dress from the romantic and feminine bridal designer on the big day.
And today, we finally got a peek!
The actress just took to Instagram to share the first photo from her wedding day. "The past year and a half together has been so beautiful, we didn't know our joy could increase!" Grace captioned the pic.
In the sweet snapshot, Grace and her new hubs are seen post-"I dos," exiting their wedding ceremony under a swirl of tossed flower petals. Now we know that on the big day, Grace donned a romantic allover lace wedding dress, a soft updo, and that unmistakable bridal glow.
"It's impossible to sum up how humbled, grateful and joyful we both feel to share this time with family and friends. Thank you all so much for your well wishes!" she wrote.
