You're married! Woohoo! But when and how should you and your new husband move in together (with all of your wedding registry items, to boot) if your lease end date doesn't line up with your wedding? Our etiquette experts are here to answer your married life questions in our daily post.
My lease doesn't run out until a few months after our wedding. Is it OK to live apart for a while?
Not a great idea. Living apart can be tough on a relationship, so unless you're doing the long-distance thing for a good reason (like school or a job), make your move right before the wedding. That way, you can come home from the honeymoon and dive immediately into your new married life. As for your apartment, see if your lease allows you to sublet it. We promise not everyone on Craigslist is a creep.
