Lisa and Chris met through work, but Lisa admits that for the first year of their relationship, she considered them just friends. "I actually tried to suggest girls Chris should date, but he was persistent," she says. "Eventually I fell head over heels for him!" The couple decided to host their wedding at Skylight One Hanson, a historic building that was formerly the Williamsburgh Savings Bank. "We live in Brooklyn, so we wanted a unique setting that honored the borough," says the bride.
Lisa carried a bouquet of peonies, Juliet garden roses, and feathers. She wore an Amsale gown from the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. Her attendants included three bridesmaids, who wore Jim Hjelm gowns, and her brother, who served as man of honor.
After the ceremony, the couple's guests enjoyed cocktail hour, which took place in the main hall, in the side sections that once housed tellers. Guests enjoyed Champagne mojitos and passed hors d'oeuvres such as Baja fish tacos and truffl ed prosciutto popovers. All catering was provided by Abigail Kirsch Catering.
