Many brides have trouble narrowing down how many bridesmaids they are going to have. But not Girls creator Lena Dunham and her partner musician Jack Antonoff! The couple recently shared their bridal party hopes for the future.
After being together for four years, the 30-year-old actress and her 32-year-old husband-to-be have decided that when they tie the knot — they'll break a few traditions in the process. According to Belfast Telegraph, the couple decided they don't want a bridal party full of bridesmaids and groomsmen, but rather, they'd like to have their sisters present in tuxedos.
While she has no problem being a bridesmaid in any of her friends' weddings (or on Girls!), having her own bridal party just isn't Dunham's thing. "Jack and I have talked about it and we've always said that when we get married we want our wedding party to just be our two sisters in tuxedos," she shared. "Jack has a straight sister, I have a queer sister; they'd be our best men / women and we'll call it a day. That's our dream."

The couple has been very vocal in their support of same-sex marriage becoming legal in the U.S., with Dunham vowing that she wouldn't get married to Antonoff until same-sex marriage was legal. "Well, it's something that — the idea of having a celebration that can't be fully shared among all the people in my life and all the people that we love just doesn't really feel like a celebration at all," Dunham shared on The Ellen Show last year. "So, until that's something that everyone can join into with no sense of being left out on any level, politically, emotionally, it's just not something that we're gonna do," she concluded.
But, when it became legal in 2015, she felt she wasn't ready to walk down the aisle just yet. Dunham and her beau are taking things slow, just because. "It turns out that what I was waiting for was not the chance to marry but the chance to think about marriage on an even playing field, in a world where its relevance is a little harder to question and its essence a little harder to reject."
Whenever the couple does decide to get married (and however many bridesmaids they have or don't have), we're sure it will be nothing short of unique and non-traditional. Can't wait to see how the big day unfolds!
