There are weddings, and then there are fancy weddings, and then there's the wedding of Russian oligarch Aleksey Shapovalov and model Ksenia Tsaritsina. The couple became engaged earlier this year when Shapovalov presented 27-year-old Tsaritsina with a 70-carat ring valued at $8 million, Cosmo reports. (However, The Insider writes that the ring is worth $10 million and was a fifth-anniversary present).
Tsaritsina showed off the ring—an upgrade from the hefty heart-shaped diamond she used to sport—in an Instagram video that, fair warning, will hypnotize you into a light coma. So…shiny…
(The Daily Mail quotes Tsaritsina as writing, "My husband is never too stingy to buy me presents. Now he made a decision that a 30-carat ring is not enough for me.")
According to Bravo, the wedding (a "multi-million dollar day") was held this past weekend at the Barvikha Luxury Village hotel in Rublevka, in Moscow, and guests danced the night away to the couple's "favorite rock band." (The Daily Mail identified the band as Leningrad; another performer was reportedly Eurovision runner-up Polina Gagarina.) As one guest put it in her Instagram caption: "wowedding."
Also according to The Daily Mail, the wedding featured one outfit change by the bride, from a beaded gown with a sweetheart neckline for the ceremony to a lacy gown and floor-length veil for the reception, an eight-tiered wedding cake (suspended in midair), and hundreds of white flowers. And acrobats!
"It was unbelievable. Thank you to our friends for sharing this wonderful day with us," Tsaritsina wrote of the wedding, per The Daily Mail's translations of Instagram and Cosmopolitan Russia. "Thank you to your large and loving family."
Per Bravo, Shapovalov and Tsaritsina have been dating for five years and have two children together. The family divides their time between their native Russia and Dubai. Shapovalov has been referring to Tsaritsina as his wife "for years." Congratulations on making it official!
