Newlywed Lauren Conrad might be making a business out of creating bridesmaid dresses for her clothing line, Paper Crown, but her initial instincts about marriage may surprise you. The reality TV star-turned-designer and lifestyle guru opened up about her feeling towards tying the knot in the April issue of Redbook.
As much as she loves a good wedding now, E! News reports her interview explains that she wasn't always so in love with the idea. "I was never a person who was obsessed with the idea of marriage," Conrad said. "I mean, I love weddings. But [my husband] is the first person I ever thought I could marry."
Her change of heart clearly worked out, and Conrad has been happily married to William Tell since their California nuptials in September. But if there's one thing she could change about her lawyer-husband, it seems like it would be his picky habits while watching TV. "I watch The Good Wife with him and he's like, 'That's incorrect. You would actually do this...,'" Conrad said. "It's a nightmare!"
One of the things both husband and wife seem to agree on? Their future children not starring on reality TV. While it did lead Conrad on her path to success, she admits she'd prefer her own children to shy away from life in front of the cameras. "I definitely wouldn't encourage my children to do reality television," she said.
