Let the Lady Gaga wedding dress designer rumor mill keep churning! A few months ago, reports swirled that Romona Keveza would design the singer's bridal gown, but now another name has entered the mix: None other than longtime industry queen Vera Wang.
"She trusts Vera to create an elegant, flowy dress that will fit into her dream wedding!" a source told Life & Style magazine this week. The publication reported that Gaga personally reached out to Wang to design her dress for her upcoming wedding to her fiancé, Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney.
Now that the news is out there, the collaboration makes perfect sense. That kind of breezy gown will perfectly complement the "relaxed beach wedding" they're reportedly planning. Though Wang used to design super-feminine, classic-looking wedding dresses, her more recent collections have veered into the sheer, lingerie-style aesthetic, an edgy look that would befit Gaga's envelope-pushing taste. Plus, a Vera Wang-designed dress will put her in very good (and stylish) company: Tons of high-profile celebrities, including Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Chelsea Clinton, and Ivanka Trump have gotten married in one of her gorgeous creations.
As for Kinney's big-day attire? He hasn't put as much though into it, and he definitely doesn't plan on picking it out by himself. "I'll have someone help me out with a tailored suit that fits well and looks nice...but I'm not out there doing that on my own," he told Chicago Tribune Magazine earlier this month.
