The pets at weddings trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon—and we're so OK with it. One cat-loving couple from Denver took the trend to a new level when they brought a pair of (adorbs!) rescue kittens to join them on their wedding day. The result is just picture purr-fection, brides.
Veterinarians Michele Bangsboll and Nick Anderson both volunteer at Divine Feline, a health and welfare clinic for under-served cats, in their spare time. So when it came to planning their special day, they had to figure out a way to tie their passion into something meaningful. "We thought of the idea to help promote our volunteer organization by featuring some adorable kittens in our wedding photos," Bangsboll told the Huffington Post. "Nick and I have always adored cats, which is why we decided to volunteer with the Divine Feline and have them be a part of our special day."
The kitties chosen for the photo shoot go by the names of Jeeves and Houdini—and boy are they cute. According to the bride, who sported a stunning faux fur shawl in the epic photos, the wedding party had no idea such a sweet pair would be added to their entourage. "Everyone in the bridal party was freezing since we had been standing outside without jackets for a while and we told them all to wait for one more surprise and then we brought out the kittens," she told HuffPost. "I think everyone's voice jumped up an octave when they saw the cuteness overload and no one cared about being cold anymore. One of the groomsmen was even reluctant to go back inside when we were done with group photos because he wanted to hold them!"
Luckily for said groomsmen, Jeeves and Houdini will soon be up for adoption.
Bangsboll and Anderson didn't just stop with live kittens at their wedding. They had a plethora of other kitty details shown throughout their ceremony and reception to highlight their fur baby love.
Overall, we think this wedding was paws-atively precious.
