Kirsten Dunst made a beautiful bridesmaid on Saturday when she joined her childhood best friend, Cindy McGee, down the aisle at her stunning Italian wedding to pharmaceutical executive John Manieri. The Spiderman star traveled to Rome for the ceremony, where she rocked an elegant pale pink gown with a gorgeous ruched V-neck bodice.
Following the ceremony at the church of Sant'Ignazio, Dunst joined the wedding party at reception venue Villa Aurelia, which overlooks the beautiful Monte Mario view.
"I had such a good girlfriend growing up that we didn’t need anything," Dunst said of her life long friend McGee. "We had such a creative world of our own imagination together. What I learned in high school is that female friendships are so much more important than worrying about having a boyfriend or looking good or things like that."
"I never thought I was that person who’d have a Pinterest board. I'm like doing all of that, pinning things," Dunst told the two hosts. "It’s really fun, and because we create it together from the beginning, it’s a really nice thing to do together. It’s going to be so personal and fun. We’re having a really good time."
Dunst, 35, met Plemons, 29, while filming the season two of Fargo in 2015. The two started as close friends, later kindling a romance that led to their engagement in early January this year.
The actress admitted the proposal was nerve-wracking. "I was a little sick when he did it, which was funny," Dunst previously said of the proposal on The Tonight Show. "But that's good—in sickness and in health, you know. That works, right?" She added, "I was in sweats."
