Just when you thought the Kardashians had covered every corner of the fashion, beauty, and pop culture industries, Kim Kardashian West announces plans to monopolize yet another facet of beauty: wedding day makeup. And TBH, we're kind of shocked that it took her this long to do so.
According to Harper's Bazaar, the 38-year-old makeup mogul announced that she will launch a KKW Beauty bridal makeup collection inspired by her wedding day look—an unrefined-looking nude color palette that accentuated her natural beauty—when she and Kanye West tied the knot.
The reality star shared the news over the weekend, when she appeared at her longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic's master class in Los Angeles, the magazine reported. During the class, a fan asked Kardashian West about her favorite wedding look, which she shared was her own from her "forever wedding" in 2014. Dedivanovic chimed in, saying that he typically gets asked about her 2011 wedding look (when she married Kris Humphries) because Kim has shared so few photos from her wedding to West.
“I will be,” Kardashian West said in reply. “My five-year anniversary is coming up so I might have a little re-creation collection in the works.”
Shortly after the wedding, Kardashian West's makeup artist shared with The Daily Mail the products he used to create her stunning look.
“For her lips, I used L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire liquid lipstick in the color Nude Ballet," he said. “For Kim’s eyes, I used Urban Decay Perversion mascara. It launches next month, so Kim got it exclusively for her wedding.” Additionally, he added that he used Urban Decay's Perversion Ink for Eyes as eyeliner. The Wests will celebrate their fifth anniversary in May, only months after the couple announced that they are expecting their fourth child, a son, later this year. While Kim hasn't provided a date for the launch of her new collection, we wouldn't be surprised if she released the set just in time for her anniversary.
