If you have questions about what it's like to have sex while pregnant, Khloé Kardashian has some answers. On Friday, the seven months-pregnant reality TV star took to her app to give her candid thoughts on being intimate when you're growing a baby.
"I have always heard that women are extra horny when they're pregnant, but for me it's been interesting," she began. "In the beginning, sex was the same. As I got into my third trimester and started to get bigger, it became harder to have sex and a little more uncomfortable and limiting."
"Tristan is amazing and would never make me feel different in any way," she continued, referring to her longtime boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, "but I'm sure it's uncomfortable for a man to have sex with a pregnant woman too. Personally, I get uncomfortable and insecure. Also, you can't move the same, so you kind of feel useless, LOL. But you just have to improvise and do the best you can."
Kardashian isn't alone in feeling awkward during pregnancy sex. Luckily, there are things you can do to make things both safe and easy when you're getting it on with a baby bump. As Brides previously reported, one of the most common concerns is that the baby can be hurt during sexual intercourse. Doctor and sex therapist Madeleine Castellanos, however, says there's no need to worry. "The uterus is designed to handle the growing baby safely even during sexual activity," she said, adding that orgasms, except in the case of severe placenta previa, are perfectly safe as well.

Meanwhile, if, like Kardashian, pregnancy sex makes you uncomfortable, Castellanos suggests switching things up. "For many women, this means being on their side," she previously said. "But many women enjoy being on all fours with their belly supported by pillows." Of course, what's comfortable is different from person to person, so this doesn't work for everybody. As Kardashian said, "you just have to improvise and do the best you can."
