For Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson, the rumor mill seems to swirl in only two directions: They're either embroiled in a scandal and on the verge of breaking up, or happier than ever and on the verge of tying the knot. Now that Kardashian and Thompson seem to have worked through Thompson's alleged cheating and moved from Cleveland to Los Angeles together with 2-month-old daughter True, the speculation surrounding the couple has made a distinct shift in the latter direction.
Most recently, engagement rumors cropped up after Kardashian was spotted wearing what looked like a massive diamond engagement ring on her left hand while out to dinner with Thompson and some friends on Sunday night. This speculation only increased when fans noticed that Kardashian's left hand has been covered up in a few recent photos, which some believe is an attempt to hide a possible engagement.
As People points out, Kardashian is indeed covering her left hand with her jacket sleeve in two photos she posted earlier this week, and with her right hand in a picture posted by sister Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday, in honor of Khloé's birthday. That said, the cover-ups could be totally incidental, especially since Kardashian's hand was completely visible and completely ring-free in photos and videos captured at her birthday party Wednesday night.
For the record, neither Kardashian nor Thompson have confirmed, denied, or even acknowledged the engagement rumors in any way.
The duo were previously rumored to engaged in the months before news of Thompson's alleged cheating broke. In the photo Kardashian shared on Instagram in December to announce that she and Thompson were expecting their first child together, the only piece of jewelry she wore was a huge diamond band on her left ring finger, and she continued to wear the piece for months after, prompting many to believe that Thompson had popped the question sometime before the holidays — though, again, those rumors were never validated by Kardashian or Thompson.
