Once you've picked your wedding dress, the next thing to think about is how you'll be accessorizing. From drop earrings and studs to cuffs, bangles, necklaces, and rings (not to mention an endless array of colors, metals, and stones), it's hard to know where to start. Don't worry, though, we've got you covered! We spoke to jewelry designer (and newlywed!) Kendra Scott about her favorite new trends, advice on picking the pieces that are right for you, and her new bridal collection.
Be a blushing bride
"Recent bridal runways have been full of feminine, vintage-inspired lace dresses, portrait backs, and romantic floral details, so let that feeling guide your jewelry choices," Scott recommends. "Look for soft, romantic hues like rose quartz, mother of pearl, clear peach, and chalcedony."
Flaunt your personality
"Every bride is looking to add a unique touch to her wedding, and the Kendra Scott Color Bar is the perfect way to let your creative juices flow. Pick a silhouette (including earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets), then hand-select the colors and stones for a piece that's all yours," Scott explains. "I designed my own statement earrings for my wedding in June, and loved wearing something that was so personal."
Look at the details
"When picking out jewelry for your wedding day, don't just consider the dresses you and your bridesmaids are wearing, but look at all of the elements of your wedding," Scott says. "If you're getting married outdoors, consider something like Amazonite to reflect the nature around you. Using blush hydrangeas at the ceremony? Deck out your 'maids in rose quartz."
