Keira Knightley Wore Her Wedding Dress How Many Times on the Red Carpet?

Keira Knightley has never been one to shy away from making a sartorial statement. As she constantly evolves her personal style, we adore every single darling dress she's donned on both the red carpet and in the period pieces in which she's starred (Anna Karenina was worth watching for the wardrobe alone). Of course, we also can't forget her famous feathered wedding dress in Love Actually.

So to say that she shocked us when she stepped out in London last night in the adorable tulle knee-length Chanel number she wore to her wedding in May is understatement. Especially because this isn't the first time she's reworn the most important gown of her life—it's the third!

She revitalized the powder pink haute couture gown for the SeriousFun gala last night in London. The last time she wore the fashionable frock was at her Mazan, France nuptials, where she paired the pretty little thing with custom Chanel flats and a Chanel jacket (see comparison, above). But, like we said, this is the third time she's donned her specially-made by Karl Lagerfeld ruched dress. The first time she wore the gown wasn't even for her wedding! E! reports the first time she broke out this bespoke gown was for Finch & Partners' pre-BAFTA bash in 2008.

Unlike her wedding and the 2008 iteration of this ensemble, this time, Knightley covered up with an ever-so-sheer illusion sleeve that featured lace embroidery (talk about wedding-worthy!). Of course, her most attractive accessory was her husband, James Righton, who looked equally dashing in a slim-fitting suit and bow-tie. They could have renewed their vows right then and there on the red carpet!

If anyone could re-wear her wedding dress, we think Keira Knightley certainly could. Plus, she proves to us all that wedding dresses aren't an elaborate expense for a once-in-a-lifetime event—you can recycle your wedding day look and make it look as refreshed as ever! Take a cue from Knightley and consider a cute coat or an added sleeve to avoid looking too bridal the next time you slip on your dress.
