Keira Knightley surprised fans in Paris on Thursday, May 1, when she showed up with an extra accessory at the Chanel J12 cocktail party: a baby bump!

The Love Actually star, 34, made like Blake Lively surprising fans on a red carpet with a growing belly. She was photographed at the event in a sheer, cream gown with an embellished boat neckline.

Though Knightley has yet to address her pregnancy, she did appear to cradle her belly at several points throughout the evening as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband of six years, James Righton.

It’s not the first time the Colette actress has kept a secret about a major milestone in her life: The soon-to-be mother of two was also tight-lipped about her wedding ceremonies—yes, plural.

Nearly one year tying the knot with Righton in Mazan, France, in May 2013, she revealed to Elle U.K. that she threw a secret second wedding with her pals.

Knightley, who welcomed her first child, daughter Edie, with Righton, 35, in 2015, has been an open book when it comes to parenting, though: She wrote a true-life essay titled "The Weaker Sex" about her experience with childbirth and gender inequality in October 2018 as part of an essay collection called Feminists Don’t Wear Pink (And Other Lies) as curated by Scarlett Lewis.

"You came out with your eyes open. Arms up in the air. Screaming. They put you on to me ... your head misshapen from the birth canal. Pulsating, gasping, screaming,” she wrote, according to an excerpt from Refinery 29.

The Oscar-nominee also spoke about motherhood to British Vogue, calling it “a physical and emotional marathon.”

“I still find it really f*cking difficult,” she told the publication, adding, “It’s OK to say that.”

Knightley continued: “It doesn’t mean I don’t love my kid, it’s just me admitting that the sleep deprivation, the hormonal changes, the shift in relationship with my partner, are all things that make me feel as if I’m failing on a daily basis. I have to remind myself that I haven’t failed, I’m just doing what I can do, but it’s not easy.”
