Ryan Lochte may be the Olympic champ in this family, but his wife Kayla Rae Reid is the one snagged the gold when it comes wedding style. For her and Lochte's second wedding earlier this month, the bride stunned in two gorgeous wedding outfits that deserve their own medals.
After first tying the knot privately in January, Lochte and Reid wed again a few weeks ago. This time though, they said their I dos in a lavish ceremony with 100 of their closest family and friends in attendance—and where Reid stunned in two luxe looks. First up was an ultra-chic jumpsuit for their rehearsal dinner. Yes, Reid is the latest bride to partake in one of fall's biggest wedding trends, and as People reported on Thursday, the jumpsuit in question is a bespoke design by Rime Arodaky. It features a sheer bodice and sleeves with white floral embellishments, as well as a matching train that evokes an ethereal wedding veil.
It also took three weeks to perfect—that's in addition to all the weeks Reid and Arodaky spent discussing and poring over sketches, People reported.
“Kayla loved the Patsy jumpsuit as she thought it really fit her personality and body, however, she wanted to personalize it by changing the embroidered tulle on the jumpsuit to something more poetic,” Arodaky told People. “So we ended up using the same embroidered tulle that she absolutely loved from the Blair gown.”
“Kayla is a gorgeous woman with an exciting life and we were happy she loved the look we created for her!" Arodaky added to People. "It was modern and elegant all while exhibiting a lot of intricate details and embroideries.”
As Brides wrote earlier in September, a lot of fall brides are doing what Reid did and incorporating a wedding-worthy jumpsuit into their big day, whether it be for the actual ceremony or for another item on the schedule, like a rehearsal dinner or the reception. One of the most famous ones to do so was Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, who wore a lace Tadashi Shoji jumpsuit to her wedding reception in July.
But Reid wasn't done setting trends there. Next up, she donned a gorgeous Galia Lahav wedding dress with layers of tulle and intricate beading for the ceremony.
“I tried on so many dresses and I just fell in love with it,” Reid told People of the gown. “I went to multiple places and I was like ‘I have to go back and try that on one more time! I can’t stop thinking about this dress.” With a drop-waist mermaid silhouette and embellished straps, the dress looked right out of a fairytale.
And of course, this bride made sure her girls looked gorgeous, too! Reid's bridesmaids all wore Watters's "Garnet" dress in the color Saddle—a modern taupe hue—for the big day. With a chic V-neckline and a sophisticated sheath silhouette, the bridal party couldn't have been prettier.
