Kayla Itsines, the certified fitness instructor and influencer known for her work on the popular Sweat training app, has shared her pregnancy journey on social media over the last nine months. And on Monday she came full circle, taking to Instagram to share news that she had welcomed her new baby, named Arna Leia Pearce, with husband, Tobi.

In a touching post, Itsines described how emotional the delivery had been. She explained that she had looked at her husband before she gave birth and quietly said, "Please let her be healthy, please be okay, please be okay.” She revealed that the two of them had cried throughout most of the process.

"In that second, we heard her cry for the first time, the doctors and nurses examined her quickly, bought her over to us and said, 'She is absolutely perfect.'My doctor said, 'Look at that hair and those cheeks! Amazing!' "⁣⁣ she wrote. "I don't even know how to describe how I felt in that moment. I looked over at Tobi who looked like the proudest Dad I've ever seen, with tears running down his face he gave me a kiss on the forehead and whispered 'She's so perfect, I love you.' "

Her husband also shared the news on his own account, writing on Instagram that his "world got so much brighter when this little angel entered the world."

So what does the new baby mean for Itsines's well-known fitness plans? She had been modifying her routines during her pregnancy and giving workout options for other women expecting babies. She isn't in a hurry to get back to hardcore training; she explained she's going to relax and enjoy time with her daughter, particularly because she gave birth through a Cesarean.

"As for me, I ended up having a Cesarean, as recommended by the doctor," she said. "I was a little bit sore, but after a couple of days I was generally fine, just no lifting other than Arna. Now, I just need to rest, eat good food, drink lots of water and I'll be okay!⁣⁣"
