Get ready for fireworks: Lionel Richie might just perform at Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's wedding! The pop star apparently asked her American Idol costar to perform on her big day, and it looks like the former Commodores singer might just make that happen.

Perry, Richie, and their fellow American Idol judge, Luke Bryan, appeared on a recent episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, in which the "Firework" singer shared that she'd love for Richie to perform during upcoming nuptials to Bloom.

"No, he didn't [ask my permission]," Richie said of Bloom. Perry jumped in to make it right between the group.

"You can repay that by singing at our wedding. For free!" Perry said.

"By the way, I don't mind that," Richie responded during the interview. "I am so into our little marriage here, that I've gotta tell you I just feel like we're part of the family."

Entertainment Tonight recently spoke to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest during their show, where they gushed over Perry and Bloom's engagement. Ripa even added that she had the wedding gift for the couple, telling Seacrest, "I'm gonna record myself singing a Katy Perry [song], and then you can give it to her."

"OK, that's great—a performance from Kelly might be a gift, but it's very exciting," Seacrest said. He added,"[Katy] was beaming the next day. Of course, it happened on Valentine's Day, and she came in [to work on American Idol] the next day with the ring."

"It was funny, I noticed as she was talking to the contestants, she was really giving them a lot of direction with her hand," Seacrest cracked. "But as she should. [It's a] beautiful ring, Orlando."

"I really like them as a couple," Ripa added. "I think that they are so adorable together and he's very funny and she's very funny. It makes sense to me."

The couple first revealed the news of their engagement on Valentine's Day, when they both shared the same close-up selfie that showed off Perry's flower-shaped engagement ring. "Full bloom," Perry wrote alongside her post.
