Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are officially husband and wife—and their wedding was everything the bride and groom could dream of. Of course, many fans expected the couple to ditch their nuptial plans— there was tons of fighting leading up to the big day—but, thanks to social media (and, of course, the premiere of the wedding special), these two have finally said "I do!" During an interview with People, Maloney's reaction to the ceremony was especially emotional.
“It was a fairy-tale wedding,” Maloney said ahead of the Monday-night premiere. “It was without a doubt the happiest day of my life,” added Schwartz. “This coming from a guy who’s pretty cynical about the institution of marriage.”
Maloney also addressed the couple's apparently rocky relationship, adding that all is now well between the two. “I feel like it looked a lot worse than it was,” Maloney explained of their fights. “It got really bad, but there’s so much more to the story. You definitely saw the worst moments.”
Maloney wed her hubby while donning a $15,000 Zuhair Murad long-sleeved lace gown, after falling head-over-heels for it during a trip to Kleinfeld. “The minute I put it on, there were goose bumps all over,” Maloney recalled to People. “I thought, ‘This is it. This is the dress I’m going to marry Tom in.’ You just know. I had such a visceral reaction, it was awesome.”
The Pucker & Pout cofounder and Schwartz exchanged vows in front of nearly 100 guests in a elegant, rustic wedding at the Twenty Mile House in northern California. Maloney confessed she rushed the planning process in order to satisfy the available date at the venue, although she doesn't recommend that future brides-to-be do the same. Lisa Vanderpump served as the officiant of the ceremony.
