Since Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt tied the knot at a California ranch on June 8, we've been scrounging for every last detail about the ceremony. And now we finally have the scoop on our favorite part of any wedding—the dress!
In true celebrity fashion, Schwarzenegger chose two dresses for the nuptials, both designed by Giorgio Armani. Lucky for us, Armani just shared everything we needed to know about the two gorgeous gowns.
“I am proud to have played a role in this couple’s wedding,” he said in a statement, according to People. “For them and for the bridal party, I designed elegant and sophisticated outfits that would highlight their radiant personalities.”
For her walk down the aisle, Schwarzenegger opted for a custom Armani Privé white crinoline lace bustier column gown. The dress also featured a full skirt that extended into a lace train. Tucked among her wavy brunette locks was a custom-lace embroidered veil, as well as a tulle veil, which was worn by her mother, Maria Shriver, on her wedding day. She finished the look with her grandmother's earrings and white satin Armani Privé heels. The day after the wedding, Schwarzenegger shared a snap of her and her new husband on Instagram with the caption, "Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us, and grateful to Mr Giorgio Armani, who created a once in a lifetime dress for me to wear, and for Chris, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed."
Following her simple style, Schwarzenegger switched into another custom Armani Privé creation for the reception later that evening. The ivory silk satin gown featured draped sleeves and a plunging back. Both of her dresses were the perfect compliment to her cushion-cut engagement ring, which Pratt gave to her when he proposed in January 2019.
Pratt said "I do" in a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure two-button suit in midnight blue with a matching vest. His son Jack, whom he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris, wore a similar Armani Junior suit to match his dad on the big day, according to People.
Not only did Armani design creations for the bride and groom, he also dressed the couple's entire bridal party. The bridesmaids stunned in tea-rose silk chiffon dresses, with the maid of honor, Schwarzenegger's sister, wearing a custom Armani Privé empire dress with a draped skirt. Just like Pratt, the groomsmen wore Giorgio Armani classic midnight blue suits.
According to multiple sources, the entire evening was romantic and the venue was decorated in flowers and greenery. The couple even served local food and fresh vegetables, a lighter menu perfect for an elegant summer affair. Schwarzenegger and Pratt seemed to have pulled of the perfect summer wedding and were dressed to prove it. Cheers to a lifetime of happiness for the newlyweds!
