Plans are already in motion for actress Katharine McPhee’s upcoming wedding. The bride-to-be recently posted photos from her wedding dress fitting, which means she’s already picked out her special dress!
“Wedding dress fittings today with @jordiefos!" the actress wrote on Instagram. She attended the appointment with her future stepdaughter and stylist Jordan Foster. “It was such a happy day.”
The Waitress star added, “It’s not the dress, but just wanted to share.”
Even though this might not be what the bride actually wears down the aisle to marry David Foster, it's still proof that she will make one stunning bride. In the photo, she appears in a low-back, body-skimming gown complete with a lace embroidered veil. Though Foster didn’t attend the fitting, he still tossed the picture a like in approval. Erin Foster, another one of McPhee’s soon-to-be stepdaughters, also commented on the photo, per E!News. “So cuuuuute," she penned.
While McPhee seemingly had her emotions under control in the photo, her reply to a commenter suggests her appointment was a tearful one. A follower asked if it was "normal" she was tearing up over the pic, and McPhee replied, "I cried today too! So yes!"
Foster proposed to McPhee in July 2018 while on vacation in Capri, Italy. The couple let rumors swirl before confirming the news to JustJared.com. At the time, the future bride posted screenshots of a conversation she had with Jared Eng in which she spilled the details of the proposal—it included Foster giving her a sizable emerald-cut diamond with a halo of diamonds around it. “He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri," McPhee wrote in the text message. "Totally dark only stars. Thankfully he didn't push me off the cliff. He said it was one or the other. And in the end he spared me."
Shortly after the couple got engaged, McPhee’s father passed away, but she was able to find the silver lining in her tragedy. “It’s been a hard week,” she wrote on Instagram. “Lots of tears but I want to thank my friends and family for all the love and support. My dad was so happy for me. My ring was the last thing I showed my dad before he passed and makes me smile when I look at this as a reminder of our last conversation. And now I’m ready to share with all of you what has been my sunshine amongst this painful loss. My love wisely said to me the other day that 'Death is the only thing that is 100 percent inevitable, and the thing we are least prepared for.' So today we’re celebrating life and not forgetting love.”
