Ahh, the holidays. It’s the time of year to soak up all the festive cheer dressing in warm weather accessories and the season’s signature colors—unless you’re Kate Middleton. The royal recently rolled up to Queen Elizabeth II’s holiday luncheon wearing—wait for it—pink.
It’s not quite the holiday red, green or white (which we at Brides clearly have a soft spot for) but this outfit still looks stunning from what we can see. We only have shots of Kate in the car heading to Buckingham Palace for the occasion, but she appears to be wearing a pink blouse or dress which ties at the neck. She accessorized with dangly pearl earrings.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also attended the lunch. This will be the Duchess of Sussex’s first time at the event as a married—and expecting!—woman. She attended last year, just a month after she and Harry announced their engagement.
Meghan also seems to be going for style instead of seasonal with her look. According to Harper’s Bazaar, fans on Twitter believe she is wearing an Erdem dress that she rocked for an appearance on The Today Show back in 2016.
Not much of Meghan’s dress can be seen from the car photos, but the high-neck, sheer black and floral ensemble looks like it could be a match. She accessorized the look with the Galanterie de Cartier diamond earrings she wore to her royal wedding in May, according to The Express.
The Duchess of Sussex is not shy about re-wearing her favorite looks. Her Mother jeans, Castañer Carin espadrilles, and pretty much J.Crew everything is on rotation in this royal's wardrobe at all times.
Maybe she will bust out another favorite for the rest of her holiday events. It was announced earlier this month that Prince William and Kate, and Meghan and Harry, will join the rest of the royal family in Norfolk for Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham.
