Almost any bride will tell you that wedding planning comes with its fair share of problems. There's guest list battles (do you really have to invite those second cousins?), awkward in-law introductions (that should've happened months ago), and bridal party problems (your MOH has seemingly gone MIA). But what some don't expect are the relationship frustrations that also come with planning. You not only have real life and real jobs that can get in the way of your relationship, but now those big day details—and all the stress and anxiety that go along with them—are also stealing away you and your soon-to-be spouse's quality time together. Not cool. Not fun. And very few couples are immune to it—even the celebrity ones. Take for instance Kate Mara, who just opened up on how hard it is to find time to spend with her famous fiancé.
Back in January, Kata Mara debuted her round-cut diamond engagement ring from her Fantastic Four costar, Jamie Bell, on social media. The actress's rep later confirmed her engagement, and now it's onto wedding planning for these two, which is not without its problems, particularly when it comes to finding time to be together with their demanding jobs. And Mara's frustrations are relatable AF.
“I think in our business, it’s always a little bit tricky to navigate things because it’s not like a normal job where you know where you’re going to be the next year, let alone the next day. You just don’t,” the actress recently told PEOPLE.
With multiple time-consuming film projects lined up for both partners, the key to success in this relationship—and most relationships for that matter—is all about communication and prioritizing, according to Mara.
"You constantly have to shift things, and communicate," the Fantastic Four actress explained. "Like asking, 'What's your deal with that show or with this movie,' to make sure that you actually can see each other."
Other couples struggling to find time for a date night during the throes of planning could definitely benefit from the actress's advice!

"You have to find ways of sacrificing work so that you can be with your family," Mara further pointed out. "I think that's the most important thing, especially when you're in a relationship with another actor, because it's tricky," she said. "We're on the same page though, so that helps."
