After tying the knot just five days ago at a horse stable in San Diego, Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook have embarked on their honeymoon, but it looks like they've had to take a detour to an unfortunate destination. Instead of heading straight to an underwater bungalow in the Maldives or a fairy-tale city in France, the newlyweds are spending their first post-nuptial days somewhere no one wants to go: the hospital.
Cuoco unveiled the location Thursday with an Instagram post, revealing that it's all because of a much needed procedure. "When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery - thank you for all the love and support! ❤️knowing @mrtankcook I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems 🙄🤪 thank god my hair color is on point (@clarissanya)," she wrote, posting a selfie with Cook from the hospital bed and tagging her wedding hairstylist.
As promised, Cook has already followed up the post with two small updates. In the first, Cuoco is pictured frowning miserably in the hospital. "Everyone has their own version of a newlywed glow .... well @normancook yours is memorable😳#shouldersurgeryhoneymoon," Cook wrote in the caption. In the second, Cuoco is recorded nodding off in the passenger seat as Cook presumably drives her home from the hospital. "@normancook snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow! #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon," Cook wrote.
It's not clear whether the surgery was planned, or whether the couple had to interrupt other plans to accommodate the appointment. Either way, a vacation somewhere far, far away is well-deserved. We'd suggest a private island in Fiji, or maybe a glamping experience in the rainforests of Bali.
