When you know, you know! Kaley Cuoco may have just gotten married this past New Year's Eve, but the newlywed is opening up now about her rapid romance, quick proposal, and super-speedy wedding to tennis pro Ryan Sweeting. It all happened in a cool six months!
Surprisingly, Cuoco is pretty self aware about how crazy the pair's quick courtship looks from the outside, and shared details about how the two met and fell in love with David Letterman, Us Weekly reports. "It all did move quite fast on paper," she told the Late Show host, "but we really did know...And I know you're all thinking, 'She's nuts!' I swear I'm not nuts. We just fell in love."
As for how they met? "He came to L.A. for a blind date—and he never left," The Big Bang Theory star dished. "We had been texting, we texted a little bit. Dinner was great, and then he moved in the next day. I know, it sounds so slutty, but it wasn't!"
Surprisingly, Cuoco revealed that Sweeting hadn't ever seen her show—and didn't even know who she was—when they met!
And the wedding itself, which happened just three months after the lovestruck pair got engaged, was supposed to be a complete secret—despite a playful nuptials on Ellen and a ton of publicity—some of it from Cuoco herself—leading up to the big day.
"It was supposed to be a secret. The problem was, I could not keep my mouth shut. Like, I'd be getting my nails done, and I'd be like, 'Listen, I'm totally getting married in a few months,'" Cuoco confessed. "And then I'd go get my gas pumped, and I'd be telling the attendant, like, 'I'm getting married in a few months, but you're the only one that knows, so don't tell anyone!'"
We're happy to hear that Cuoco and Sweeting are madly in love, and look forward to learning even more about their sweet whirlwind of a romance.
