At the NYC premiere of her new show The Sinner, Biel told Elle that husband Justin Timberlake was impressed by her taking on a much darker role than usual in the show. "With Justin, he's so happy for me," she said. "I always say he's my biggest fan." The "Can't Stop the Feeling!" singer confirmed his wife's comments on Monday, too: He posted the show's trailer on Instagram and wrote, "Ok, I know I'm not exactly fair and maybe biased here, but my wife's new show — @thesinnerusa — is amazing. It's like nothing I've seen her in before, and she's incredible in the role. You should check it out when it premieres Wednesday on USA. —JT." Spoken like a true #1 fan.
Biel, 35, also told Elle that she had to draw on her experiences as a mother to her and Timberlake's 2-year-old son Silas in order to prepare for the emotionally draining role in the psychological thriller, in which Biel plays a mother who commits a shocking act of violence in public for what seems like no reason at all. "It's personal for me," she said. "I wouldn't be able to do this role if I didn't know what it was like to be a mom. If I wouldn't be able to see my son every day...I get emotional just thinking about it."
The 7th Heaven star, who married JT in Puglia, Italy, in October 2012, recently opened up about how she and her "biggest fan" hubby make their A-list marriage work. "We have similar values; we believe in loyalty, honesty. We like to have fun. We like a lot of the same things," she said in her cover interview for Marie Claire's August 2017 issue. "Also, in the business, we're all very career-oriented, and you have to be a little selfish. I understand that about my peers—about being focused and driven—and if you can find that and someone who shares the same values as you, it's like: Score!" If that's what it takes, JB and JT have definitely scored.
