Could you work side-by-side with your spouse day after day and keep your sanity? Julia Roberts not only can, but she loves it. In the October issue of Allure, the actress gushes about her husband, Danny Moder, and just what it's like to work alongside him on the set of their upcoming movie, Secret in Their Eyes.
In fact, the actress, who plays an FBI investigator bent on revenge in the new drama, said having her cinematographer husband on set helped her get through several emotional scenes. "I don't know if I would have succeeded in some of the efforts that I made," Roberts told the magazine, and US Weekly reports, "if he hadn't been in such close physical proximity to me."
The pair tied the knot 13 years ago, and despite recent rumors, seem to be going stronger than ever. "There's something about having the safest place in the world for you in the same room," she said. Roberts and Moder married in 2002 and have three children: twins Finn and Hazel, 10, and Henry, 8.
Though she was happy to dish on married life, the actress also gave the scoop on some of her former costars and friends, including the cast of Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon.
"We were all pals," Roberts told the magazine. "At George's house, I remember walking down this path pregnant with Finn and Hazel and turning the corner, and all the boys were sitting at the table having lunch. They were like, 'Oh, come sit down.' I wasn't allowed to walk the stairs. It was such a sweet shift in our relationships because originally, it was all pranks and teasing each other. And here I am pregnant, so it's like pulling out my chair and just making sure I have enough water and, 'Are you feeling okay? You look a little peaked.' 'I'm fine.'"
