Before the first kiss (the very first kiss in this case...), comes the first look. Just two months ago, Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar wed her love Austin Forsyth at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas, where they shared their first kiss—and now—their first look. TLC's cameras were there to capture the moment Joy-Anna and Austin first saw each other on their wedding day, giving us a peek at the now-newlyweds opting to throw tradition to the wind and embrace hours before their "I dos."
On May 26, Joy-Anna and Austin tied the knot in front of their family and friends after just a three-month engagement. And for the ultra-conservative couple, said engagement consisted of no kissing, no sex, chaperoned dates, and side-hugs only. So it was surprising to see the duo decide to buck tradition and opt to not wait until the ceremony to see one another on their wedding day. "Joy and I just do things different," explained Austin in the newly-released video of his and his bride's pre-"I do" encounter. "We threw tradition out the window."
"I love you," Joy-Anna happily told Austin when she first spotted her groom at the church ahead of the ceremony. "You're so handsome."
"I can’t believe I get to marry you today," Austin sweetly said to his beautiful bride in reply.
"This is definitely the day I've been waiting for, for a very long time and I can't believe it's already here," Joy-Anna told the watching cameras. "Today is the day that I have dreamed about and prayed about pretty much as long as I can remember," added Austin. "I'm so excited to get to spend the rest of my life with Joy."
Both the bride and groom were looking forward to the memorable moments in the hours to come. "I think my favorite part of the ceremony is going to be saying our vows," mused Joy-Anna. "I think my favorite part is probably going to be putting the wedding ring on her finger," said her groom.
Uhhh, what about that first kiss?
"That's a given," according to Austin!
