Uh-oh. Joy-Anna Duggar has some explaining to do! As you know, Joy-Anna is the latest member of the Duggar family to walk down the aisle, recently tying the knot with beau Austin Forsyth. She and Forsyth were longtime friends first, and last November, the couple announced that they were entering a "courtship"—the term the Duggar family uses for a relationship. For those who don't know the rules of a Duggar courtship, it consists of chaperoned dates and limiting physical contact to hugs (side-hugs only). But, on tonight's upcoming episode of Counting On, the couple (innocently) breaks a very important courtship rule.
In the preview, Forsyth is questioned about the frontal hug he briefly shared with Duggar shortly after she accepted his marriage proposal. According to the 22-year-old, it was just a mistake. “We’re humans and sometimes we don’t always abide perfectly by our rules,” he told Daphne Oz in the conclusion of the show's two-part reunion. “We try. That was a real hard try.”
Duggar didn't realize cameramen were watching the proposal from a distance. “I didn’t even notice that they were there,” she explained, appearing a little bummed. “I thought it was just us there, and that was really special.”
The couple wed this past May in a church completely packed with family and close friends. The ceremony was filled with surprises, as Joseph Duggar popped the question to Kendra Caldwell, whom he had been courting for the past few months. While another Duggar prepares to say "I do," Joy-Anna and Forsyth are enjoying newlywed bliss. The couple had an epic European honeymoon, traveling to multiple cities in Switzerland.
“We chose Switzerland because we knew that it was very beautiful," Joy-Anna previously told People. "We had seen a lot of pictures, and Austin has really wanted to come here for a while. We can’t wait to see more of it!”
