Sealed with a kiss! Duggar fans finally got to witness Joy-Anna Duggar's nuptials to hubby Austin Forsyth during Monday night's Counting On. But wait, it gets even better. During the two-hour special, fans also got to watch the couple's much-anticipated first kiss. If you're just tuning in to all the Duggar antics, the extremely conservative family prefers their own method of dating, which bans kissing and generally limits physical contact to side-hugs.
In the clip, the couple appeared a bit nervous in the moments leading up to the smooch. “Are you ready?” Forsyth whispered to his blushing bride. Then, it was time.
“By the power vested in me in the state of Arkansas, I do pronounce that you are husband and wife,” their pastor announced. “In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.” Forsyth then leaned in for the kiss, and once they were done, they looked as giddy as ever. Ah, young love. Soon after, the couple began marching down the aisle, timed perfectly with a surprise confetti drop.
The couple wed back in May during a church ceremony filled with family and friends. “We feel so happy and so excited,” Duggar previously confessed to People. “Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, 'Oh my goodness, it's actually here.'”
But, not so fast, as there is another Duggar wedding in the works! During Joy-Anna and Forsyth's ceremony, Joseph Duggar popped the question to girlfriend Kendra Caldwell, whom he had been courting. Not to worry, though. The bride was totally okay with it!
“We are super excited. It's great to not be courting anymore, now we're engaged!” Duggar and Caldwell previously shared with People.
“I was definitely nervous going into it,” explained the soon-to-be groom. “But I wasn't afraid that she was going to say no, because she has said, 'I'm just waiting on you!'”
