Josh Duhamel and Fergie have kept something hidden right under our noses! During a new interview with Haute Living, the Transformers: The Last Knight actor revealed the secret that led to his happy 13-year relationship with the Black Eyed Peas singer. And yes, it's very simple.
“We genuinely like each other,” Duhamel revealed to the publication. “[We] have a lot of love for our son and have a good time together,” he added. “And that’s about it.”
This wouldn't be the first time the 44-year-old gushed over his lady love. Less than a week shy of Mother's Day, he couldn't help but get candid about Fergie and reveal what makes her such a great mother to their three-year-old son, Axl. "The thing that really amazes me about her is her incredible patience and absolute dedication and love for him. She puts him above anything else," he admitted to AOL.com.
He continued, "For a girl, which everything has always been about her, to see what the love of a child can do is pretty amazing. She would do anything for that kid. She's an amazing mom."
"I think she gets it from her own mom because she [Fergie's mom] was a speech therapist for kids with speech impediments. To see her mom teach him [Axl], then to see Fergie do the same thing and then have him learn it and become a really, really good speaker for his age… That to me is incredible."
I mean, really. Best hubby ever.
Duhamel and the 42-year-old were married in 2009 in a "white fantasy wedding" at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu. The bride donned a Dolce & Gabbana gown.
Last year, while making an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Duhamel remembered the first words he said to Fergie like it was just yesterday. Unfortunately, poor Duhamel was so nervous, he was only able to tell her: "You're hot."
"I was really nervous and that was my moment of truth. I laid out my outfit the night before, which I've never done in my life," he admitted.
