Like many Bachelor and Bachelorette couples before them, the still-in-love JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are expected by fans of the franchise to tie the knot in a televised wedding special. Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert did it. Evan Bass and Carly Waddell did it. Why not JoJo and Jordan? The Bachelorette pair got engaged on Fletcher's season of the show back in 2016, and now, after a year-long engagement, we're starting to wonder if these two have set a date yet—and if we'll be invited to the nuptials via our TV screens. Well, the groom-to-be just dished on what the deal is with this wedding-special speculation.
Unfortunately for fans, it doesn't sounds like Fletcher and Rodgers will be saying "I do" in front of thousands. "[That's] something everyone always asks us," Rodgers recently said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "That's something we would have to discuss together, but very honestly, my first reaction would be that I would probably rather not." Sorry, guys! Looks like we won't be able to join in on the wedding reveling with this reality-show duo.
"There's a distinct intimacy and privacy, and it's a very special moment with family and friends, and I wouldn't want anything to tarnish that or to take away from that," Rodgers further explained. "It's a time that I want to be able to honor my fiancée and soon-to-be wife and her family, and I want it to be ours. I want us to run the show and make sure it's always what we imagined. If there's a way to do that and include fans, great. But that wouldn't be my first wish."
Oh well. Even if we don't get to see these I do's, we still wish that these two tie the knot soon—even though they have yet to set a date. "We're learning more about each other every single day, what our life is going to look like and where it's going to be," Rodgers said of his and Fletcher's decision to take it slow.
"So we're enjoying this time of being engaged, continuing to date and court each other, and getting to know each other even more. And then when the time is right, we're absolutely going to sit down and start planning that. But we're definitely taking our time. We want everything to be right and make sure we're in the right place."
