Leave it to Johnny Depp to pull off the ultimate prank on wife Amber Heard. Knowing that the only thing she might love more than him is her 1968 Ford Mustang, which she's dubbed a "beautiful piece of junk," Depp decided to make his new Mrs. believe her ride was stolen. But the prank, while cruel in the moments Heard truly believed it as gone, was for a sweeter purpose: He had her car detailed and completely upgraded on an upcoming episode of the show Overhaulin', E! News reports.
As you can imagine, once Depp led Heard to believe that her precious car was stolen, she was extremely pissed. In a clip from the episode, as she's trying to talk to the officers to report the crime, they try to take selfies and videos with her and her hubby. This enrages the Magic Mike XXL star so much that she even flips them the finger! "Get my car back!" she screams at the misbehaving "cops."
Soon, though, it's revealed that Depp and her father arranged for the car to get, well, overhauled. During the car's reveal, Heard gets pretty emotional. "I bought it as kind of a drivable piece of junk, a beautiful piece of junk," Heard says in another sneak peek at the episode. "The car cost me every dime I had."
"I'm overwhelmed! I can't believe it," Heard says when the plan was revealed. "I don't let anyone touch my car!" And then, when she sees her good-as-new cherry red mustang she simultaneously cries and laughs, muttering: "I'm sorry. I can't believe it! Oh my God, thank you so much!"
Good job, Depp!
