The Fuller House actor said "I do" to his now-wife, Caitlin McHugh, on Saturday evening. The newlyweds married in a beautiful ceremony in Los Angeles, California.
The exciting news comes just a day after McHugh was robbed $165k in jewelry from her hotel room. The police released a statement that the suspect did not forcefully enter, but still remains outstanding. The jewelry stolen were Neil Lane rental pieces—but luckily, the company understood the incident and will not make the newlyweds pay for the missing jewelry.
“John’s a lucky guy,” a source told Us Weekly of the situation. “Neil and John are super-close friends and John is not going to have to go into his pockets and pay anything. Neil will provide him with more jewelry and beautiful diamonds and this won’t set things back for the wedding at all.”
The newlyweds first announced their engagement in October, after two years of dating. Stamos popped the question in a fairytale-worthy proposal at Disneyland, one of McHugh's favorite places. Stamos shared an Instagram of an illustration of the couple shortly after his proposal, with the caption, "I asked...she said yes! ...And we lived happily ever after💍"
Just two months after the engagement, the couple revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
"I hope [to have kids]," Stamos said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in November, just before McHugh's pregnancy announcement. “That's always been my plan. It's just taken me a lot longer than I anticipated. It would be a tragedy if I didn't have children and I finally found the right woman—the perfect woman.”
He added, “I know my parents are smiling down. I know they would love her. She's a gentle, kind, graceful soul who would be a good mother."
