If John Cena's proposal speech to Nikki Bella didn't pull at your heartstrings enough, then prepare to bring out the tissue box after you hear this. In a seriously sweet YouTube video posted on the Bella twins' account, the wrestler revealed that—get this—he custom-designed Nikki's engagement ring himself. Swoon.
“I didn’t just walk into a place and say, ‘Please just give me a ring.…’ I’ve been thinking about this for a long time…so I went to the good folks at Tiffany’s and had them construct a ring,” Cena recalled while Nikki raised her hand to the camera to show off the sparkler.
"The ring represents our entire relationship up until this point. If you look at the stones on the side, there are four individual stones on each side. One side represents me, and one side represents her, and the four means the years we’ve been together to come to center point.… The center point is a 4.5-carat round brilliant-cut Tiffany diamond that represents the four and a half years we took to get right here,” the 39-year-old continued. “As with everything that we do for each other, there's always meaning behind it."
So. Freaking. Cute.
Diamond expert Michael O'Conner revealed the ring is valued at around $85,000.
As we know, Cena popped the question to his now-fiancée at Sunday's Wrestlemania 33. Following their victory in a mixed tag-team match, the 39-year-old got down on one knee right in the middle of the ring.
“Right before your surgery, there would be a time when you would be a little loopy and I could ask you anything I wanted. If you gave me an honest answer, you wouldn’t remember what you said. After a year and half, you asked me all the time. I promised I would tell you when the time is right. The time is right."
"I have been waiting so long to ask you this: Will you marry me?”
