Another celebrity couple bites the dust: John Cena and Nikki Bella have broken up and have called off their engagement after six years together.
The news of their split comes after months of the couple publicly sharing information about their upcoming wedding plans. A rep for the couple confirmed their breakup, telling E! News that "after much contemplation and six years of being together Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple."
Bella and Cena also confirmed the announcement, releasing a joint statement to E! News saying, "While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives."
The two had just had an engagement party in January, and had plans to tie the knot later this year. A day after their celebration, a smitten Cena tweeted, "Such a wonderful, meaningful, emotional day yesterday with the woman of my dreams and both of our families. I love you Nicole, you've made me realize the importance of togetherness."
Bella replied shortly after, "Aww my Love... It was so magical. Love you too John. "

Cena popped the question to Nikki Bella in April 2017 at a taping of WrestleMania 33 and they have since been slowly revealing their wedding plans over the course of the year. The two have been dating since 2012, but Cena had previously said he was reluctant to get married and have children, which was often a topic of conversation on Bella's reality show Total Divas and Total Bellas.
Okay guys, you can all stop breaking up now! We've had as more than our hearts can take this year. đź’”
